This the official telephone of Prank Call Central. It is a Western Electric Model 302. Designed by Henry Dreyfus and put into service in 1937, the Western Electric 302 is probably one of the most well known of the classic phones. One of its nicknames is the "Lucy" phone because of its many appearances on the "I Love Lucy" show. At Prank Call Central it is used mainly for making prank calls.

Jerry Lewis has been an avid audiophile since the early days of tape recorders. Jerry and the audio technicians at Paramount Studios developed a system that would allow him to tape record his telephone calls. This was like handing a new toy to the biggest kid on the block, and spawned years of prank phone calls and hysterical gags that kept everyone laughing. The best part has been the capture of Jerry's typical unbridled silliness during these prank calls.
